Play Your Favorite Songs on the Piano

This is going to be a series of posts that will present you with the skills you will need to quickly learn all of your favorite songs. If you follow the formula of these topics, you will eventually be able to play many different songs quickly without reading music. I am going to cycle through topics to keep it fresh but I will return to certain topics as needed.

The first step is laying the foundation and that is learning scales. Click this link to get prepared to learn how to play the C Major Scale if you don’t already know how!

Once you have gotten started it would be helpful to download this pdf https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Public/Documents/Scale%20Study.pdf?w=9d7fad21 and learn more about scales. You can also click on this helpful link.

Please note: If you want to play songs exactly as they are written, you have to develop reading skills or have a really good ear! I talk about both of these topics from time to time. If there is certain information that you would like to see posted here, please go to my facebook page here:Facebook Page or comment on this post! Thanks
